Owl Painting

Preschool is beginning the first week of September, so Patty and I have been working on getting our new room ready. We have been moved from the best room in the world, the baby room, to the "OWL ROOM". But, we are making the best of it and have decided that we are going to ROCK the Owl Room!! We met this week to work on our bulletin board and still have more to do. Blake and I have ceiling tiles from remodeling our basement that I painted for our classroom! I thought it would help the room not look so generic. I've just got to get a brown and white polka dot ribbon to glue on the top so we will be able to hang it.

Splatter Painting

I've been wanting to paint this picture for a while now, and finally was able to do it. Cooper helped me paint the background while Sissy was napping. He loves helping me paint, and he did a very good job. Then I let the background dry and I splatter painted the canvas with all kinds of colors, mainly red and turquoise. Sissy helped smear some colors all around and she finger painted as well. Once the splatter paint was dry and the kids were in bed, I was able to paint on the angel. It goes great in my house, with my new curtains!

MORE VIDEO MUST SEE:My Childhood

Aunt Dado and Mom were some lookers, when they were young. Not, that they aren't LOOKERS now! Both beautiful women in their youth and now in their better years.

Mason sounds exactly like Sethbo! No joke... and watch Mason shaking his boodie in the background and then he socks Dennis in the stomach! Too funny.

VIDEO MUST SEE

This is more video, that my cousin Jake, was filming on one of their visits to Hartselle. Since I can remember Mama Jean has always been camera shy... she never likes getting her picture taken. This video proves she's ALWAYS been that way. And I don't understand why my Mom let my bangs look like that? Such thick hair! And thick Bangs! Wow! Uncle Johnny is so young in this video! I told my Mom, we needed to watch these videos and have a sip and sob party. haha

OMG! My Childhood VIDEO

This video has been talked about and talked about in my family. Mainly, by my dear cousin Michael who lives in Houston, Texas. My Mom's last visit to Houston she asked Uncle Johnny, her brother, to get the tape for me. Because I've never seen it before. This video is of me singing my ABC's which apparently I loved to do, and after watching the video, I now see why it's so funny.

Preston's 1st Birthday

Preston had his FIRST Birthday party at the zoo today! After we had looked at all the animals, it was soooooo hot, the kids were dying for something to drink. Katie passed out caprisuns to everyone and we got in trouble. No outside food or drinks. So, we had to haul everyone from the water area, to the picnic tables in front of the zoo. We were drenched in sweat. But, after cupcakes everyone (even the birthday boy)left except for his big sis Ansley, Cooper and Tristan. They were still wanting to head to the water pad. They had a blast, while Katie and I were sweating off a couple of lbs.

College Move In Day

Alex has officially moved away from home and in his first apartment with his buddy Joe. I know he was so excited, but my Mother is having a hard time with her last child moving away. Cooper couldn't understand why Guncle isn't going to be living with Lima and Poppy anymore. I had to explain to him, that Guncle was going to College, a BIG SCHOOL, and it's out of town. So, Guncle needed a place of his own. Cooper looked down and looked a little sad, he said, " Lima is going to be very SAD!" I said, YOU HAVE NO IDEA!

You can't really tell in this picture, but Mom got Alex these houndstooth placemats that are adorable! Goes right with the theme! She stained an old table of Mike's Grandmother's black and it turned out awsome. I have to note that moving Alex in was so easy compared to when I was moving into Tutwiler. Well, My mom had to move me in, because I was going through Rush. Thanks MOM! Anyhoo, Boys just are very simple. They don't need much at all. Girls on the other hand, just have so much STUFF!

Tristan already made herself at home. She put her shoes in Guncle's closet and pulled out a pair of Guncle's shoes to put on herself.

Carlos Mencia

Last night, Blake and I enjoyed a night out with friends and family at the Comedy Club stardome. Carlos Mencia was performing and he did a great job at making us all laugh. I don't know how he remembers all those jokes. It was very entertaining! Bruce, the owner, was kind enough to let us hang around after the show so we could meet him ourselves. Carlos approached me and a friend and said," I heard you wanted to take a picture with me". I was like, UM YEA! Very funny guy, I would definitely go back and see him again.

A Farewell Dinner

OMG! Alex is starting COLLEGE, I can not believe it! And, he's going to my old stomping grounds! I'm estatic! Mom wanted to have Family over for a Farwell Dinner. Although, Me and the kids will be "helping" move him into his new Pad on Tuesday, we celebrated with a nice dinner at Lima's. We brought over a care package for Guncle to take to college with him, that was loaded with Papertowels, Dish washing soap, trashbags, etc. I also painted this canvas for him to go in his new PAD. The picture above is what I painted and then the picture below is the finished product! Blake was so kind enough to help me on the project, (THANKS HUBBY!)that I was determined to get right. It is a marble finish over the painting. We needed a box that fit perfectly around the canvas, which we didn't have, so we had to rig it to make this work. We had fun doing it, even though we were up til the weeee hours of the morning trying to make it Perfect! We Love you Alex! GOOD LUCK in COLLEGE! I can't believe you are starting College, blows my mind. I'm sad one chapter of your life is complete, but, I can not wait for your next Chapter! We will be routing you on In Baseball! I PRAY we will be watching you play PRO! LOVE, Your BIG SIS

Lima made Yummy Yummy Peach Cobbler

Guncle's Care Package from the Harwell Family

Yes, Lima gave Cooper and Tristan popcicles before dinner, because that's what Grandmother's Do!

Oh My, our kids LOVE THEIR GUNCLE

TRISTAN's Meltdown, because Lima wouldn't comewith her when Tristan grabbed her hand. Hmm...I wonder where this comes from?

Cooper could honestly not stand being left out of the picture, himz got his feelings hurt!

The Milazzo Men enjoying a Golf Game on TV, while the wild indians run wild!

Poor Guncle

Tristan was trying to tell "Guncle" that he needed to come with her. She tell's you by Pulling your hand until you finally get up. Guncle learned after her first meltdown with Lima, he was going to get up and go where she took him.

One Of Our Last Days Left...

OF THE POOL! So so sad, our pool days for the summer are coming to an end! We have worn out the pool and now the pool hours are only on the weekends. Hopefully the kids can enjoy swimming like fishies One more weekend, weather permitting. We are very blessed to have the pool available to us. Blake enjoys the golfing and we enjoy "pooling it". I know one day they will look back and have sweet memories of growing up at the pool during summer time!

Cooper has become such a swimmer this past summer. He is now able to swim all the way to the ladder after he jumps off the divingboard, UNDER WATER, holding his breath.
He impresses me everyday.

Adios!
