The Back Porch

We love eating at the Back Porch, anytime we are in the Destin area. We like getting a new t-shirt every year as well. Cooper picked out one for Daddy, that matches his he picked out! Lima bought Poppy a t-shirt too, and of course, Poppy had to match Cooper as well.

Fun in the "SAND"

Our first day on the beach Tristan did not want to touch the sand.  She, much like her brother was at this age, was doing everything NOT to put her feet in the sand and was whining because sand was getting on her. At this point, "Our Beach Trip" wasn't looking so relaxing for Mommy!

This picture above is Classic Tristan at this stage of our day! She had just about had enough, and so had Mommy!

This Picture above: I finally sat Tristan in the chair with Ya-Ya (this is what Tristan calls her brother, Cooper) and just let her whine it out. Not ten minutes later, My Mom and I see Tristan start to walk in the sand. My Mom and I kind of look at each other, like 'we aren't going to say anything that might make her remember she's in the sand'. And Tristan says, "WATCH ME!"...She takes off running and does a nose dive into the sand.  The picture below shows this!

I don't know what exactly happened, but something clicked and Tristan must have thought, 'Well I guess I might as well get use to this'. As they say, The rest was History!

Of course, Cooper was so excited because now he really had someone to run around with in the sand. And Mommy and Mima, got to read their books:):)

We arrived at the Beach!

\We left for the beach last thursday on our yearly trip to Fort Walton. My Mother-in-Law usually takes us to her condo during Talledega weekend (because Blake and My Father in Law work Talledega all weekend).  But, Marilyn couldn't ask off work this time, so we asked my Mom to go with us this beach trip! She never misses my brother, Alex, play baseball...but, this time she said o.k.:
As soon as we unloaded Cooper was wanting to head to the pool. So, Here we are pool Ready! Yea!

Family Rules

This is a cute idea my dear and creative Friend, Katie Cox, created! She got the idea from another Blog, and I need to find out which one, so I can get a better idea about what she used to write this on. It doesn't look like a canvas...It looks more like wood, or she had a green frame added around the picture. Looks like she modge podged some scrapbook paper for the background? Not real sure, but I love the sayings for the FAMILY RULES! Too Cute!

Indy Grand Prix of Alabama

Blake and I got asked to go to the Indy Race at Barber Motorsports Park yesterday. It was a beautiful day. I took this picture from the tent we were at, Alabama Power's Tent. Great seats. Very Loud. Great food and drinks!

This is Bobby Knight and I. She is a great friend and great client of Blake's and works for Alabama Power. Bobby got us our tickets to this event. :)

GO DADDY's CAR. I really don't see what the hype's all about with her?

This is what happens when my husband gets my camera! He starts getting snap happy and takes random pictures.

Picture of Blake and Jeff riding in the Electric Car provided by Alabama Power.

Last year at the races, I got the chance to meet Helio Castroneves. Here's a picture of us below. It was by chance that I met him! I really lucked out! In the tent there was a table of pictures that the photographer had taken of different cars that were racing, etc. I grabbed a picture of his car from the tent before we walked to the pit...Everyone was grabbing Danika "Go Daddy's" photograph, and I grabbed Helio's. I am a huge Dancing with the Stars fan and Helio and Julianna had just won the dancing trophy the season before. Anyhoo, as soon as we walked down to the "Pit" he was getting ready to race and came to greet his fans. I handed him the picture that was of him racing. I asked him to for his autograph and told him what a huge fan I was. He commented on what a great picture I had taken! Ha! He was a very nice guy!

Guncle's Baseball Fish Fry

Saturday Night- We headed to Tuscaloosa to watch the end of my Brother, "GUNCLE'S", Baseball game at Shelton State. Afterwords, the team had a Fish Fry. Cooper got to run the big baseball feild bases and slid into home! (With SHORTS ON! FYI: Cooper doesn't love getting dirty!)

Ball Park

Cooper had a baseball game this Saturday. My friend Sarah and her little boy, Brooks, came to watch Cooper play! We have not seen Brooks since he was a baby! He's not a baby anymore. He's absolutely adorable. I could just eat him up! After the ballgame, we walked to the park before heading home and let the kiddos play. Tristan was VERY interested in Baby Brooks. She stepped into her MOMMY role.
