The Kids and I drove to Hartselle to visit with Mama Jean on her 93rd Birthday! She is living in a new home, and we got to meet several of her new friends. We also got to visit with Dena and her boys. Uncle Dennis showed up a little later and we got to see him as well! Mama Jean looks SO GOOD to be 93! She is an amazing woman and Grandmother! And Great Grandmother! We love her dearly! We were being introduced to Mama Jean's friends and Tristan was acting like quiet the 'Little Ham'. Tristan is very bashful at first, she takes some warming up to. Well, not this day. She was high-fiving everyone in the home and even ran into the arms of another older lady. I know it made every ones day!

Shake it up Cafe
This week I helped teach our Vacation Bible School. This year the theme was, "Shake It Up Cafe". Where Kids carry out God's recipe's. The teacher's were suppose to bring an apron from home to wear all week to help incorporate our theme. My friend Tracey and I had 5k kids and had a great week! I have to admit, I'm glad it is over:). The people who put this on, work all year getting ready for it. It's very impressive all the amazing activities the children get to do. We are barely in our rooms that much. We are going to Craft, Music, Drama, and Playground or Rec. It's chaotic. I just loved the theme so much this year, I thought I would share some of my pictures that I have. I wish I would have taken a picture of our entire room, it was adorable. Our door was an awning.
We hung cooking utensils from our ceiling. We had checkered tablecloths with red mixing bowls, pot holders, Ketchup and Mustard bottles and some flowers set up on a cafe table. I made some donuts, that we also hung from the ceiling. They turned out adorable.
This a inter tube, that I purchased at the dollar store, blew up, and painted to look like a donut.
Cooper's Chef Hat
The children painted a pair of hands praying. It says around the bottom, God is Great, God is Good. They took pictures of all the children to send home.
This is a tray that the children modpodged. Then put that day's "Secret Ingredient" in the middle.
This is a cute oven mitt, that I have Cooper's sweet hand print on.

Golf Camp
Today we had Cooper's first day of Golf! He was very cute and a little shy at first (Shocker!) but, by the time I picked him up he was cutting up and laughing with his new friends. He had a lot of fun! And yes, Blake 'got on to me' about what I dressed Cooper in, saying that I should know better. Whoops... I was told to send him in play clothes, that were comfy. Well, I was told wrong. Everyone was wearing "Golf Attire". Tomorrow afternoon Poppy is going to take him to the driving range.

Dinner with Friends
My friend Stephanie (lives in T-town) and I don't get to see each other very often. We try to make dinner plans every once in a while to catch up. She is pregnant having a little girl. She has an almost 5 year old little boy, Owen. We made dinner plans this past week to meet at Cheesecake Factory. We invited our friend Tamsyn to come along. I had talked with my friend Samantha, who's birthday was actually on the day we were planning to go have dinner. Samantha didn't have any birthday plans, so I invited her to come along. Samantha invited some of her Trussville friends and another longtime friend Sarah to join us for dinner as well. So, what was going to be a few friend get together ended up being a party! It was loads of fun. Always great to see my gals.
