Luckily, I had my phone in my hand and was able to video her excitement! Please, Please ignore my singing. I know it's terrible!

Cooper's Pictures

Marley and Me

I took Cooper to Morris Avenue yesterday so I could get some new updated pictures for him. On they way there, the kids were watching Marley and Me in the back. Cooper loves this movie! We watch it all the time. From the backseat,
Cooper says, Mommy I want to get a Marley dog, a white one and call it Marley. Maybe we could call Maverick or Savannah Marley?

I said, No honey, we can't just change Savannah and Maverick's name. But, maybe the next time we get a dog, you can name it Marley.

He said, Yea and a white Marley dog! When Marley gets big and grows up, I'm gonna be sad!

I turned to look at him and his lower lip was down and he was CRYING! It melted my heart and brought tears to my eyes!

Cooper has never gotten emotional about the movie, but at the end, we always talk about why Marley had to go to Heaven. I said, Cooper, that's just what happens. When we grow-up and live a long life, then we go to Heaven.

Cooper is just so sweet and tender hearted, when he's not fighting with his sister!

Ta Da! They Turned out just fine.

Maverick

Ok, This Picture just makes me laugh! Maverick is HUGE! That's just his head! For all you Twilight Fans, this really reminds me of Bella standing next to Jacob, the WOLFE (especially in the new movie Eclipse)

No Mommy, 5 minutes

We are on day 8 of Cooper's Chicken Pox. They have all dried up, but I have not let Cooper go outside and play because that's just not suppose help the situation. But, today he really wanted to ride his four-wheeler. I told him, " ok Cooper, but only for 15 min. and then we really need to come back inside."

Cooper looked at me and argued, "No Mommy, for 5 min." I just started laughing, kids have no concept of time.

Cooper at least got to try one out, even though it was our left over pudding! He was asking all day long, " Are those ready yet"....

We finally got them ready to put into the freezer. The hardest part was just spreading them out evenly. It gets pretty messy. Mine are not a perfect as the sample picture, but I thought they turned out ok.

Cooper Picked out all of our colors...This was his favorite part! Besides licking the pudding!

Cooper also learned that mixing pink and yellow together make orange. That's how we made our orange.

Our SuperHero Pops

We got very very messy in the kitchen today making the Rainbow Pudding Pops, but Cooper calls them Superhero Pops. As messy as we all got, the kids had so much fun, it was just a great activity for us to do together.

Tristan made the most mess, and Cooper couldn't keep the spoon out of the pudding! I think at one point Tristan found a marker and just dove in the pudding and started licking the marker.

We checked before bedtime and they were not frozen yet. We had two colors left over, red and orange, so we made a small Superhero Pop. Since there wasn't much of that one to freeze, it was ready to EAT! Cooper kept saying, Oh, Mom, This is sooo good! I think he just loves all the colors!

Alex's Concussion

WE LOVE YOU GUNCLE!

My brother, Alex, has been playing baseball this summer on a team called, The Heat. Yesterday he had a game and got knocked out by a runner, when he was trying to catch a fly ball. The runner intentionally elbowed him in the jaw, which knocked him out, and he hit the ground. When the Coach realized Alex wasn't getting up, he ran on the field and Alex's eyes were rolled in the back of his head. He finally came to and persuede to run to first base? Coach said, No, Alex you need to sit down in the dugout. Mike started asking him questions and realized he didn't know where he was or what he was doing. My parents took him to Princeton's Er and because he had a concussion they ran a catscan and also an x-ray to make sure his jaw wasn't broken. Thank God, everything came back ok. But, it had been almost 4 hrs and Alex still couldn't remember anything from this past year. The doctor said it was ok to take him home and observe him at home, but doc thought his memory should've come back already.
A year or so ago, one of Alex's buddies got hit by a baseball and caused him to have a concussion, he lost 3months of his life, that he never got back.
This maybe the case with Alex. It's just so weird to think that you could just not remember what happened the past year.
We got back to my Mom's and we kept asking him questions every now and then. I asked him did he remember graduating, he said, NO? AM I IN COLLEGE? I said, not yet Alex!
He would ask us the same question over and over, bc he could not remember what he just did or said. He was very confused! Last night around 8pm, Alex finally started remembering. One of his friends took him for ice cream and he remembered doing that last night. But, he still doesn't remember the past year.

WE LOVE YOU GUNCLE, AND PRAY YOU GET BACK SOME SPECIAL MEMORIES!

Pudding Pops

I found this fun summer recipe for Pudding Pops. Cooper and I will attempt to try this out when I can get to the grocery store without Cooper (since he's got Chicken Pox) or when he is germ free!

Then I will post how it goes! Haha.

Ingredients: A box or two of Instant vanilla pudding, milk, food coloring, a couple of mixing bowls, a whisk, plastic or paper cups (I would suggest clear, so you can see the colors), and popsicle sticks

*Have your little helper pour in the pudding mix in your biggest mixing bowl

*Pour in the milk and follow the instructions on your package of pudding

*Once pudding is mixed, evenly separate into five or six smaller bowls

*Add your food coloring (red, green, orange, blue, and yellow) and mix until pudding is the color you want

*Spoon different colors of pudding into your cups. Try to do smooth even layers, so you will see a good rainbow on the sides of the pudding pop

*Have your helper put a popsicle stick into each cup of pudding. The pudding should be thick enough to hold up the stick; if not cover the cup with a plastic wrap and then put the stick into the pudding

*Place pudding pops in frezzer for a couple of hours. Time will depend on the size of your cups

*Once they are set, take them out of the freezer, use your hands to warm up the sides of the cup, so the pudding pop will come out of the cup easily
They look super cute and super yummy!

Chicken Pox

SO, last saturday we had Drake's birthday party and Samantha asked Cooper to spend the night with Drake. She has asked several time before, I just didn't think he would be ready. Or, I knew that I would be driving to Springville at 10:00 at night to pick up little man. But, Cooper is now at an age where, he loves just GOING. He really has always been like that, but I knew this time he would be just fine. And he was, he had no problems on his first "spend the night out with a FRIEND" without his Mommy! So sad!
Well, I was going to meet Sam to pick up Cooper and she just wanted to give me a heads up, that the boys were outside playing that morning and Cooper got bit several times on his neck by some bug.
When I got him, he had a bandaid on his neck (not suprising-he wants a bandaid on everything). We had some errands to do that day and then I took Cooper to see Toy Story 3 in 3d!
I have been promising him for a long time and finally we had a chance to go, so we paid $22 for just him and I! Highway robbery! Anyhoo, we got home and Cooper started itching his neck and his ankles like crazy. I thought he was about to have a panic attack. I kept looking noticed the bites were covering his whole body. They didn't look like an ant bite or a misquitto bite? I had no clue. I thought maybe they were chigger bites? Then I asked my husband if it was poison ivy? He said no, poison ivy would be more in clusters. So, I called Samantha, and asked what in the world was in her backyard. In hindsight, this is too funny! Samantha had no clue! She said Drake didn't get any bug bites. Samantha had only seen the bites on Cooper's neck, she never noticed them all over his body. Cooper eventually calmed down. Poor thing, I had to hold him down so Blake could rub an anti-itch cream all over him.
The next day, my Mom's friend Teri came over to help me hang some curtain rods. Teri saw the bandaid on Cooper's neck and asked, " What happended to his neck?" I continue to tell her about how he got bit by something at my friends house. Teri looks at me and she says, "Honey, that is Chicken Pox". I said, "WHAT, we've been vaccinated, there's no way!"
Sure thing... We have got to be the most unluckest people I know! Took Cooper to the pediatrition the next day and he's got CHICKEN POX!!! The fact that he's been vaccinated, and still got them, makes the doctor believe that his vaccine just didn't take. She called all the nurses into our room, so they could see what chicken pox was, they've never seen it? Crazy!

Since we have been in quarentine all week, it has given me a chance to start this blog I've been thinking about doing for a while now! It will be a great way for me to document our CRAZY life!
I have been horrible since Cooper turned 1, I have had any time to scrapbook. I feel terrible about that.
While they are young they are like little sponges. They learn so much and I am blessed to be here with them, to teach them new things, and watch them grow!

Another thing I have attempted, is trying to declutter all the toys! I do this probably twice a year. But, it's crazy how many toys we have! Toys live in every room of our home! I struggle with Cooper, trying to make him understand, that we don't need everything we see. Cooper absolutely has first child syndrome! He was the first baby and first grandbaby on both sides. So, Cooper has been given everything... which now is biting me in the butt! I try to encourage him to appreciate the simple things in life. But, that seems to get me nowhere!
