Tristan's 3rd Birthday Party

 Ethan
 Brooks

My friend Tasha, gave me the name of someone who makes cakes and does some catering here in Birmingham. I had her make Tristan a Barbie cake and a dozen cupcakes. She did an AMAZING JOB, to say the least. The cake not only looked good, it tasted good too.
We sang Happy Birthday and the Barbie Girl got shy and tried to hide under the table! HA!

I looked over at Carson, who was playing by herself, going through her treat bag...and I snapped this cute picture. She's Adorable.

Go Keaton!

100% BARBIE

Cole's 6th Birthday Party

Cooper's friend Cole turned 6! I can't believe these boys are turning six years old. Seems like yesterday we had them in their strollers going to the Halloween festival.  Blake and I had a wedding to attend so, my Mom took the kids to the party at Tree Top. It was there first time to ever play there and it looks like they had a great time...

First Sewing Pattern

I asked one of my friends at the church to tell me the next time she was sewing something for her daughter. I am very eager to learn and wanted to come and watch. Well, she is so sweet, she opened her house to me and another friend and we have started a little sewing group!!!! I am just so excited about this, I can't even tell you! We all have girls close in age and they played very well together while us Mommies got a game plan together! Our first project is this Pinafore dress Pattern that I had bought and it was pretty easy! Im glad I used cheap fabric because I made a couple of mistakes. I still have the button holes to make! Next week we are sewing sassy ruffle pants...

Tristan is Ready for School...

We sent cupcakes to school today for Tristan's classroom and she finally got to wear her "3" crown birthday shirt! She felt like a big girl today;)

Happy Birthday My Baby Girl!

Dear Tristan,
I cannot believe another year has flown by so quickly! I am so thankful God gave you to me and I thank him every day! This is your special day! My big 3 year old! Last night your Daddy put together your Barbie Dream House...we talked about what your reaction would be when you walked in and saw the Barbie Dream House. We were correct! We know you too well! You don't want to show your emotions too much to us and you make this little whimpering sound...it almost sounds like you are about to cry! But, you aren't! You were just too excited and couldn't hide the emotion and it just comes out sounding really funny! Ha! Anyhow, you enjoyed opening your presents and all your new Barbie things. Poppy and Lima took you and Cooper to eat where ever y'all wanted for your birthday and you chose Mexican (because u both wanted gum out of the gum ball machine). Poppy taught Cooper a new chord in his guitar and also tuned his guitar for him. Lima got you a swimsuit, a Barbie camera, Barbie shoes and Barbie jewelry! This afternoon we went to pick out your cupcakes for school and got a balloon! We had a great day together and I cherish all of our moments!

Hopefully, years from now, you and Cooper will look back at this Blog that i have created for us and enjoy reading memories from your childhood. Last year I left you a poem for your birthday and I thought I would continue that tradition... I found something from this artist who Mimi introduced me to.

Wisdom for My Daughter
Your future does not lay in front of you...it lies deep inside of you•Life is not about finding yourself...it's about creating yourself•when life becomes a roller coaster, climb into the front seat, throw your arms in the air and enjoy the ride•rise by lifting others•When life gets crazy, do something normal...and if life gets too normal do something crazy•Always be nice•Life is about how you handle plan B• Practice the art of listening• Find the joy in all the choices you make• Remember, in the end, good girls ALWAYS win• Never Forget...I will love you forever, FOR ALWAYS and no matter what!

Ben and Leslie Culpepper

Blake and I went to my best friends little brother, Ben Culpepper's, wedding this weekend. He married his high school sweet heart, Leslie Rives. Leslie, you did an amazing job planning your wedding! The details were perfect and just so elegant! We had a wonderful time! I'm so glad we got to be a part of and witness the two of you beginning your lives together! You and Ben are both so Beautiful inside and out and I can't wait to see what the future holds for the two of you...
This is the only picture I took? Don't ask me why, I just thought it was such a cute picture of the Bride! And my favorite part of the wedding was the Birmingham Boys Choir that sang at the wedding! Wow! That was awesome!

Barbie Pillow

I Looked for some Barbie fabric to make Tristan something for her birthday since everything is Barbie this year! The only thing I could find was this below and they are designed for pillows. I finished them and cannot decide how I want to stitch up the. Side...should I add a zipper or just hand stitch? Anyhoo, they are super. Tacky character fabric!!!!! But, it's not about what I'm going to like! Ha! Tristan will love it! And they will match nothin other than just being, Pink!
